Miya is making his first Championship start in 2026. Earlier this year, he finished runner-up in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam, reached the round of 16 in the Amateur Championship in England and recorded top-20 performances in both the New Zealand Open and Japan Amateur. In 2025, he won two World Amateur Golf Ranking events in New Zealand.
