Williamson is making his sixth Championship start in 2025. He has competed in the Asia-Pacific Amateur in New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Japan. In June, he finished fourth in the Rarotonga Amateur Open in the Cook Islands, an event he won in both 2017 and 2020.
