Wang is making his first Championship start in 2025. He has five top-20 finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking events this year, including T-12 in both the Chongqing Open and Guangdong Open in China and T-14 in the Royal Junior in Japan. In 2024, he won both the HSBC China Junior Open and the Shanshan Feng International Junior Championship and finished fourth in the China Amateur Open.
