Shen is making his second Championship start. Last year at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia, he finished T-24 in his Asia-Pacific Amateur debut. In 2024, he has won both the Hong Kong Close Championship and a professional event in China and finished T-3 in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam. His 2023 included winning the Faldo Series Hong Kong Championship, finishing eighth in the China Amateur Open and making the cut in the Asian Tour’s Hong Kong Open.
