Ranasinghe is making his second Championship start in 2025. Earlier this year, he won a World Amateur Golf Ranking event in Sri Lanka in August. In 2024, he had six top-five finishes in events in Sri Lanka and finished third in the Bangladesh Amateur Championship and 12th in the Pakistan National Amateur.
