Malik is making his first Championship start in 2025. Earlier this year, he won the Pakistan Junior Amateur for the third consecutive year and then won the Pakistan National Amateur in September. He also finished runner-up in both the Dallas Amateur and Sri Lanka Amateur Championships and competed in both the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam and the U.S. Junior Amateur in Texas.
