Malik is making his second Championship start in 2026. Earlier this year, the University of Texas, San Antonio freshman won the Pakistan Junior Amateur for the fourth consecutive year and represented his country in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam. In 2025, he won six World Amateur Golf Ranking events and finished runner-up in both the Dallas Amateur in Texas and Sri Lanka Amateur Championships.
