Ahmed is making his second Championship start in 2025, after making the cut and finishing T49 in 2024. He comes in fresh from back-to-back championship victories, winning the Faldo Series and the AJGA Tommy Fleetwood Series, where he posted a personal best of 14-under-par.

He was the medalist at U.S. Amateur qualifying, reaching the US Amateur 24 at Hazeltine and also competed in the U.S. Junior Amateur and Boys Junior PGA Championship. He has a total of 10 World Amateur Golf Ranking titles, including multiple wins earlier this year in Oman, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates.
