Ko Chit is making his first Championship start. In February, he won a World Amateur Golf Ranking event in Myanmar to earn his first world ranking points. Also in 2024, he has represented his country in the Southeast Asian Amateur Team Championship in Singapore and competed in World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
