Ma is making his first Championship start in 2025. Six golfers representing Macao, China have competed in the Asia-Pacific Amateur. In the 2024-2025 season for Old Dominion University, he had five top-20 finishes, including T-5 in the 2024 ODU/OBX Intercollegiate and T-6 in the 2025 Irish Creek Collegiate. He represented Macao, China in the 2023 Asian Games in China.
