Yu is making his first Championship start. Earlier this year, the University of California, Irvine sophomore had two wins and six top-five finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking events in China, including a six-stroke victory in a professional event in August. He had six top-25 finishes in his first collegiate season, including T-4 in the 2025 UC San Diego Invitational.
