Hamid is making his third Championship start in 2026. Earlier this year, he recorded two top-10 finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Pakistan. He won the 2025 Chairman WAPDA Amateur in Pakistan and in 2024, he represented his country in the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation Team Championship in Vietnam.
