O’Donovan is making his first Championship start in 2025. In October, he was second individual in the Eisenhower Trophy in Singapore. In July, he won the 120th edition of the Canadian Amateur Championship to earn a place in the field for the 2026 RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour. He also successfully defended his titles in the New South Wales Amateur and Avondale Amateur earlier this year. He reached the round of 64 in the Amateur Championship in both 2024 and 2025.
