Evalu is making his first Championship start in 2025. Eight golfers representing Samoa have competed in the Asia-Pacific Amateur with Niko Vui making the cut in 2013 in China and 2014 in Australia. Earlier this year, he won the Samoa Open and competed in the Boys 15-18 division of the Junior World Championships in San Diego.
